Hello there! My name is Kat Buckner. I am a 5th grade ELA teacher. After graduating in May 2012, I began teaching at an inner-city school. I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 5th. (5th grade is by far my favorite age group!) I absolutely loved my children, and I learned a lot from my first school. Those children have forever put their fingerprints on my heart.
Although I loved my babies, I felt it was time for a change. SO I transferred to a wonderful school close to my home, and that's where you'll find me today!
I'm a spunky and creative cat lover, teacher, runner, pescetarian, liberal hippie. I enjoy spending time with my family, wasting my life away on the computer, creating classroom materials, painting and selling my artwork, chocolate, sushi, the color red, funky clothes, spending time with my friends, drama TV, running, working out, and shopping! I am quirky and creative. My friends says that my "spunkiness" makes me a good teacher. :-p
